🐟 Workshop: Parade Builders Let’s build boats, birds, and fish for the summer parade! In this creative building workshop, kids will use recycled materials to make parade props inspired by local wildlife and 18th-century sailing ships. We’ll construct floating fish, fluttering seabirds, and boats ready to sail to Pampus! Date: Saturday 23 August Time: 15:00-16:30 Location: FactorIJ Cost: €10 per child (Free with Stadspas—please email us to reserve) Language: Workshop taught in Dutch (English support available) Bring (required): To keep this a low-cost, eco-conscious event, we ask all participants to bring clean recycled materials to share and upcycle. Think: Egg cartons Cardboard boxes Coloured paper Old gift wrapping paper Fabric scraps, string, or yarn Old (small) toys or craft bits What we’ll do: Build with recycled cardboard, wood, and textiles Be inspired by the rich history of the IJsselmeer and Pampus Island Create large-scale objects to carry or wear in the Samen Voor Pampus Parade
