Course Description

WINTER SEASON 2025 5-8 y/o | Thursdays 15:15-16:15 (60min) 🌙✨ Art Lab Amsterdam Winter–Spring Session for Young Artists From Night to New Growth! 🌱 This winter, we’ll journey from the mystery of the night to the awakening of spring! In Art Lab Amsterdam’s joyful winter–spring session, children will explore how light and dark dance together — using glow-in-the-dark oil pastels, shimmering paints, and colorful collage to create art that truly shines. Each week, our young artists will be inspired by night-time creatures, stars, and the first signs of spring — sprouting plants, gentle rain, and the return of sunlight. Together, we’ll draw, paint, and experiment with textures and materials that bring their imagination to life. Our Three Pillars: Building Confidence: Every class begins with playful sketchbook warm-ups that help children tune into their feelings and spark creative flow. Each child receives their own A3 sketchbook to fill with drawings, ideas, and color experiments throughout the season. Fostering Empathy: Through group art games and positive sharing moments, children learn to appreciate one another’s unique ideas and express kindness through creativity. Embracing Nature: From wise owls to blooming flowers, children connect with the magic of the natural world while exploring how light changes the way we see and feel. Gentle music and storytelling add to the calm, imaginative atmosphere of each class. At mid-term, we celebrate what we’ve learned and invite parents to the final class to create a joyful artwork together. Every child receives a small creative gift to mark their artistic journey. Classes are taught in English and Dutch Thursdays at Factor IJ Pampuslaan 11, IJburg Amsterdam 22 January- 23 April 13 classes total No Class 26 February during school vacation €219,50 (€16.50 x 13 classes incl. all materials and snack) plus €5 administrative fee. *Stadspas possible in contact with Jeugdfonds.
